Review methodology
Every featured parcel follows the same sequence on our bench in Portland.
1. Order and pay. An editor places the order through USFans or Kakobuy, pays with desk funds and records the order number, item links, declared value and the agent's quoted fees.
2. Time the intake. We log when the seller's parcel reaches the warehouse, how long QC photos take to appear, and whether the photo set shows the labels, stitching or serials we asked for.
3. Review the QC set. Priya checks each photo against the listing: measurements, colour, hardware, packaging. Anything unclear becomes a re-shoot request, and we note how the agent handled it.
4. Rehearse the consolidation. We request a repack, then weigh and measure the rehearsal box on our own scale. We compare the agent's volumetric weight with ours and record the difference.
5. Compare lines and cost. Tomas prices at least three line-haul options for the same box — economy air, standard air and sea where available — and builds a landed-cost table that includes agent service fees, domestic shipping inside China, insurance if we bought it, and the delivery estimate we actually saw.
6. Score and retest. The testing editor scores on a five-point scale, 5 being the maximum, across pricing clarity, intake speed, QC quality, packing, tracking and support. The editor-in-chief reviews the score and the receipts. Pages are retested on the cycle set in our retest policy.
