Most cheap graphic tees are bought on a single thumbnail. This one is worth ten minutes of paperwork instead, because the listing for the Gucci Black T-Shirt with Bear Print (SKU 7718731454) is unusually thin on the numbers that decide whether a slim-cut tee actually fits. We ordered it, waited for the warehouse photo set, and then worked through the listing line by line with a tape measure, calipers and the parcel scale on our bench.
What we ordered and how we checked it
We took the black GU bear colourway — one of ten options split across white and black bases, the others carrying a male head portrait, a necklace cross, a hand holding a hook and a Donald Duck graphic. The listing price was $5.67 against a stated original of $6.01.
Our sequence was fixed before the parcel moved: intake photo set first, then a line-by-line comparison of every claim the listing makes, then a re-shoot request for anything the frames could not settle, then a repack and a weigh-in. The listing states a pullover cut, round neck, short sleeves, no hood, a thin 180g-or-under knit, polyester with a milk-silk fabric name, moisture-wicking function, sizes M through 5XL, and a 2025 summer release.
The audit: nine lines, and what held
| Listing line | What our check found |
|---|---|
| Price $5.67, original $6.01 | Matched the cart exactly; no add-on charge at checkout. |
| Colour: black, GU bear print | Base read black under our reference card; the graphic was the bear-and-lettering option, not the duck or cross. |
| Pullover, round neck, short sleeve, no hood | All four confirmed on the garment itself. |
| Thin, 180g-or-under fabric | Consistent with hand-feel and with the 161 g total we recorded for the size we ordered. |
| Polyester, milk-silk fabric name | Listing text only; there is no composition label on the garment to corroborate it. |
| Moisture-wicking function | Not provable from a warehouse photo set. A small bead of water spread quickly on the blank panel and slowed at the print edge, which is the limit of what one bench test can say. |
| Sizes M–5XL | Size run as stated; our ordered size was available. |
| Spreadsheet weight 0.00 kg | An unpopulated field, not a measurement. Our scale read 161 g. |
| Package contents | Shirt only. No woven brand label at the neck — a printed size tab instead, which the listing never shows or claims. |
Where the photo set fell short, and how long the fix took
Five warehouse frames covered the front, the back, a folded view and two print angles. None of them put a ruler or a tape in shot, and the bear motif was shot at enough of an angle that we could not read the print edge cleanly. We requested a re-shoot of the chest graphic square-on with a rule beside it; the agent returned the frame in 34 minutes.
That is the useful half of this exercise. A photo set without scale tells you a shirt is black and printed; it does not tell you whether the print sits where you want it on the chest, or whether the shoulders were cut for a teenager. Ask for the ruler shot before you approve consolidation — it costs a request, not a shipment.
The print, measured
On the flat front, the GUCCI lettering spanned 24.6 cm at its widest and the bear motif measured 11.9 cm tall. The print edge sat 9.8 cm below the collar seam and 12.2 cm above the hem line on our size. Those numbers matter more than the graphic itself: on a 68 cm body length, a 24.6 cm graphic dominates the chest, so this is not a subtle logo tee and will not layer quietly under an open shirt.
Fit and sizing
The listing publishes no flat measurements at all. When we asked, chest and body length for our size came back in 52 minutes: 54 cm across the chest and 70 cm long, measured flat. Category-level reports on Gucci tees consistently describe them as running small, with rep-versus-retail comparisons placing a rep small against a retail medium, so we would treat that 54 cm as the number to size from and not the letter on the tag.
The silhouette is genuinely slim through the chest and sleeve, with a hem that sits close rather than boxy. On a taller frame the body length is the constraint; on a broader chest the sleeve opening is.
Care, and the fading reports we cannot dismiss
Printed graphics are generally poor candidates for machine washing or dry cleaning, because the print can peel or crack with heat and agitation. Separately, Chinese media coverage of Gucci T-shirts includes a buyer who reported sleeve colour loss after a single wash in plain water. That report is about retail product, not this listing, and we have no item-level wash evidence for this specific shirt — but it is the reason our care note is cool hand-wash, inside out, no tumble dry.
What we still cannot confirm
Three things sit outside what we can verify. First, the milk-silk composition, because there is no fibre label to read. Second, the moisture-wicking finish, which one bench test cannot establish across a summer of wear. Third, batch consistency: rep Gucci blanks are widely reported to vary between production runs, so a second order may feel different from this one at the same price. None of these are reasons to avoid a $5.67 tee. They are reasons to order one, check it, and only then plan the rest of a haul around it.
Why does the agent spreadsheet show 0.00 kg for this T-shirt?
Because the weight field is unpopulated on the listing, not because the shirt weighs nothing. We repacked and weighed our parcel on a calibrated scale at 161 g, then compared that with the agent's volumetric figure to the nearest 10 g.
Can the warehouse photos confirm the print size and position?
Not from the standard set — no frame included a ruler, and the bear motif was shot at an angle. We requested a square-on re-shoot and the agent returned it in 34 minutes, after which we measured the graphic flat ourselves.
Does the listing give chest and body length measurements?
No. The listing text has no flat measurements at all. We asked the seller and received figures in 52 minutes; treat those numbers, not the letter size, as the basis for choosing between M and 5XL.
