Sobre nosotros

USFans Kako Crossing es una pequeña redacción editorial en Portland, Oregón, que cubre los dos agentes de compras por los que más nos preguntan nuestros lectores: USFans y Kakobuy. Empezamos en 2021 con una hoja de cálculo compartida de comisiones de agentes y un montón de recibos de envío, y desde entonces hemos mantenido el mismo enfoque limitado: comparar a los agentes con honestidad y luego ayudar a los lectores a planificar un paquete que llegue sin sorpresas.

No somos un sitio de compras general. Cubrimos las tarifas de comisiones de los agentes, los plazos de recepción en almacén, los conjuntos de fotos de control de calidad, los ensayos de consolidación, el peso volumétrico, las opciones de transporte principal y el papeleo que media entre un estante de almacén y una puerta de entrada. Cuando cambia una tarifa o una fecha límite, nuestros editores prefieren publicar una tabla corregida antes que un ensayo nuevo.

Encargamos y probamos los productos y paquetes que presentamos. Un editor realiza el pedido, paga con fondos de la redacción, registra el número de pedido, cronometra cada hito del almacén, revisa las fotos de control de calidad y luego reempaqueta y pesa la caja de ensayo en nuestra propia báscula. Las notas de las pruebas son breves y concretas: qué llegó, cuánto pesó, cuánto costó y qué haríamos de otra manera.

La redacción la forman tres personas. Dana Whitfield dirige la redacción y el estándar de puntuación. Priya Raghunathan se encarga de las pruebas prácticas de paquetes, la revisión de fotos de control de calidad y el reempaquetado. Tomas Brenner mantiene la investigación de tarifas y transporte principal que respalda cada tabla comparativa. She spent five years on a freight desk covering West Coast import lanes before moving into e-commerce logistics editing, where she built rate tables for small importers who could not afford to guess. She founded this desk in Portland in 2021 after a year of tracking her own agent fees in a spreadsheet and finding nobody publishing the same numbers. She reviews every score before it goes live and signs off on the 90-day rate checks.

Cómo pruebo

Dana reads the receipts before she reads the draft. For every comparison she checks that the order number, intake timestamp, weighed dimensions and charged fee all tie back to a logged test, then tests the score against our five-point language: is this a 4 because it is good, or a 3 because something was merely adequate? She rejects any table where a rate was copied from an older page without a fresh check date.

Priya runs the bench. She spent three years inspecting apparel and accessories for a third-party quality firm, checking the photo sets that sellers send before a parcel leaves a warehouse, and another two years on a consolidation packing line measuring volumetric weight for e-commerce sellers. She joined the desk in 2022 and built the parcel rehearsal protocol we now use for every USFans and Kakobuy test: repack, weigh, measure, photograph, ship. She writes the hands-on sections and the packing notes.

Cómo pruebo

Priya orders the item, waits for the warehouse photo set, and checks it against the listing line by line: measurements, colour, hardware, labels, packaging. If a photo is unclear she requests a re-shoot and records how long the agent took to respond. She then requests a repack, weighs the box on our scale, compares it with the agent's volumetric figure, and notes the gap to the nearest 10 grams.

He spent three years as an analyst at a parcel forwarder mapping line-haul options out of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, then two more building cost models for consolidated air and sea freight. He joined the desk at founding in 2021 and maintains the fee database that tracks USFans and Kakobuy pricing, cut-offs and partner lines. If a table on this site has a checked-on date, he set it.

Tomas prices the same rehearsal box across at least three line-haul options and builds a landed-cost table that includes agent service fees, domestic China shipping, insurance if purchased, and the delivery window actually observed. He re-checks every published rate on the 90-day cycle, records the difference, and hands the changes to Dana before a page is updated.
